About this tour

The lake is a huge reservoir of fresh water, which provides considerable benefits for nearby villages. There are a huge number of different islands, bays and coves on the lake. The territory of the park covers 738 square kilometers, of which 165 is occupied by a lake. The rest of the territory is covered with jungles and limestone hills.

The National Park is inhabited by a large variety of mammals, birds and reptiles. Here you can meet tigers, elephants, tapirs, many species of monkeys, rhinoceros birds, a king cobra, a reticulated python or a flying lizard.

Since the late 80s, tourists have begun to explore this beautiful place in southern Thailand. The lake is becoming more famous and more popular place for foreigners and locals every year. Activities around the lake include excursions with sightseeing of viewpoints and waterfalls, cave exploration, kayaking, scenic boat tours, animal watching on safari.

The rain forests of the park are one of the oldest on earth. It is here that you can find a huge flower of Rafflesia (Rafflesia Kerrii), which reaches 1 meter in diameter and can weigh up to 10 kg.

Where is Kao Sok?
Khao Sok is a national park in the south of Thailand in Surat Thani province located on the isthmus separating the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand.

How to get to Khao Sok Park?
The most convenient way to get to Khao Sok Park is as part of an excursion group, where you will be provided not only with a convenient overnight transfer, but also a stop at the waterfall, elephant farm, observation decks along the way and of course a boat tour of Cheo Lan Lake.

When is the best time to visit Khao Sok?
The park is open all year round, but the most suitable time to visit is from January to April. The average temperature at this time is +29C, preferably sunny weather without rain.
